Zachran's Cajun Stuffed Crab Recipe
Bold, rich, and packed with Louisiana flavor — this stuffed crab recipe is a true Cajun classic. Perfect for seafood lovers who want to bring the bayou to their table.
Ingredients
- 6 whole blue crabs, cleaned and shells reserved
- 1 lb lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup celery, finely diced
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp Zachran's Cajun Spice Blend
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Sauté the trinity: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook onion, celery, and bell pepper until softened, about 5–7 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- Season: Stir in Zachran's Cajun Spice Blend and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Mix the filling: Remove from heat. Fold in crab meat, breadcrumbs, heavy cream, and beaten eggs. Mix gently to keep the crab meat chunky. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the shells: Generously fill each reserved crab shell with the mixture, mounding slightly on top.
- Bake: Place stuffed crabs on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Garnish and serve: Top with fresh parsley and serve hot with crusty bread or over rice.
Tips
- For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne or a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
- Can't find whole crabs? Use ramekins or oven-safe dishes as a substitute.
- Pairs beautifully with a cold beer or a crisp white wine.
Made with love and Zachran's Cajun Spice Blend — because good food starts with great seasoning.
